Turquoise Coast Library Computer Usage Terms of Use

 




Turquoise Coast Library offers ten computers, free for public use, including free internet and Wi-Fi. Bookings are essential.

When using our electronic resources, patrons must release Turquoise Coast Library from any liability that may arise such as loss of data or loss of privacy. The library does not control or monitor the information available on the internet so cannot be held responsible for any content viewed. 




Children are not permitted to use the library's computers unsupervised, parents or teachers are responsible for monitoring resources accessed by children.

Users are reminded to be considerate of other patrons and refrain from viewing items on high volume (headphones are available), or watching offensive, overly violent or pornographic material. The library reserves the right to cancel a patron's computer access if they are found to be viewing obscene or illegal content.




It is the responsibility of users to determine whether content they are viewing is valid and legitimate. Remember, a lot of information online is not true!




When using computer resources it is NOT ACCEPTABLE to:

  • Harass, insult or offend other library patrons 😡

 

  •  Consume food or beverages next to electronic resources 🍔

 

  •  Treat equipment roughly or inappropriately 💥


  •  Copy copy-righted material without authorisation ©


  •  Send mail under the name of someone else 📧


  •  Compromise the privacy of somebody else 😲


  • Add, delete or modify installed hardware or software 💻


 



FAILURE TO USE THE LIBRARY'S ELECTRONIC RESOURCES RESPONSIBLY AND APPROPRIATELY MAY RESULT IN PRIVILEGES BEING SUSPENDED!
